My Star Partner is a quick, picture-packed personality quiz. Here's what happens behind the scenes when you tap.

  1. 1. You set the basics

    The first two taps tell us who you're into (guys, girls or everyone) and your age group, so we only match you with stars around your age.

  2. 2. Your answers shape the questions

    After three warm-up questions we can tell whether you're more of a Night Owl, an Adventurer or a Cosy Soul, and the quiz branches into questions for your world. With 213 questions in the bank and about 15 per run, no two quizzes are quite the same.

  3. 3. We build your profile on eight traits

    Near the end we ask a couple of extra questions on any trait we're still unsure about, so everyone gets a full profile.

    Each of our 171 stars has the same eight-trait profile, based on their public persona. We find the one closest to yours, give a small boost if your picks lean towards their world (film, music or sport), and show you two runners-up too.

It is a game, built carefully. Your answers create a profile across eight traits, and each star has a profile based on their public persona. The closest profile around your age wins.

Why did I get someone I did not expect?

Little choices add up! Try again and answer differently. The questions branch, so you will see new ones too.

How do you pick who is in the pool?

We chose globally famous, living, adult stars from film and TV, music and sport, with an even mix of men and women across every age group.
